Dee Sagawe
I am a Biological Sciences major entering my final year at ASU. My research interests in marine Biology include, but are not limited to, sea turtle conservation, molecular monitoring of whale meat, bioaccumulation of contaminants in the tissues of marine organisms, fish pathology and shark behavior. A few semesters ago, I took marine biology at another institution and was instantly fascinated by the creatures of the ocean. After transferring to ASU, I found Dr. Leah Gerber’s lab, and have been attending lab meetings since September 2011. Currently, I am working on a sea turtle project with Jesse Senko, a Ph.D. student here at Gerber Lab. After graduating from ASU, I am going to pursue a Ph.D. in Biology related to ecology and conservation.
