Casey Peterson
I am a sophomore pre-medicine student here at Arizona State University. Although my ultimate goal is medicine, I am very interested in marine conservation as well. My research interests include, but are not limited to, the effect of different societies and cultures on marine life, disease in marine animals, and sustainability of fisheries. I was recently recruited to join Dr. Leah Gerber’s lab, and I am currently working on a sea turtle project with Ph.D. student Jesse Senko. After graduating, I will be attending medical school and plan to pursue a specialty in cardiology.
