Casey Peterson

Lab member Fall 2012 – Spring 2014

Casey studied pre-medicine at Arizona State University. Although her ultimate goal is medicine, she is very interested in marine conservation as well. Her research interests include, but are not limited to, the effect of different societies and cultures on marine life, disease in marine animals, and sustainability of fisheries. She was recruited to join Dr. Leah Gerber’s lab and worked on a sea turtle project with PhD student Jesse Senko. She plans to attend medical school and to pursue a specialty in cardiology.
