RESEARCH INTERESTS during lab tenure
“My current research interests are in sustainability science.  I am most interested in coastal sustainability science and conducting research that is applied to the problems associated with coastal development, resource use and protection, and the human-natural interactions and how they can be best managed to preserve our natural legacy while implementing intelligent development.  My current projects include ongoing work in the economic assessment of ecosystem services associated with the seagrass Zostera marina.  I am also working on the practical, social, and economic aspects of whaling as an analysis of the sustainability of whaling and in response to claims that increased whaling can help solve world hunger issues.”
