I am an undergraduate student at Arizona State University studying molecular biosciences and biotechnology. As a member of the Gerber lab, I assist super cool PhD student Maria del Mar Mancha Cisneros with her research regarding marine protected areas efficacy. This involves analyzing stakeholder engagement in marine reserve implementation in the Midriff Islands Region of the Gulf of California. As a center aide for the Center for Biodiversity Outcomes and a member of multiple research labs, I am constantly seeking opportunities to gain insight into diverse approaches to conservation biology. My future plans involve pursuing a graduate degree on ecology, with some of my research interests being on population dynamics and how obtained data can be implemented into conservation efforts. I also hope to engage in educational outreaches that promote awareness and interest towards the field of conservation biology.
