				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The future of our oceans lies in the balance of competing objectives of sustainable resource use<br />
and protection of marine biodiversity. Through basic and applied research we seek to improve<br />
communication and relationships among scientists, resource managers and policy makers.<br />
Using quantitative tools we aim to improve the understanding of marine systems and evaluate<br />
management decisions. Ultimately, our goal is to foster interdisciplinary knowledge and skills<br />
within our lab group that will transform society’s interactions with the oceans.</p>
