RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am a junior undergraduate here at ASU. Since my high school biology trip to Catalina Island Marine Institute, I have been interested in marine mammal research, conservation, and eben simply better understanding the ecologies surrounding marine mammals. Though it's difficult to fully take part in the research side of marine mammals here in Arizona, I still love to learn about how ecologies fit together and interact, how research itself is used to study these mammals, and how I can do my part in working toward conservation. I have started to focus in on whales and their diets--I hope that this study can eventually steer me in the direction of targeting, studying, and better understanding endangered species. To start off, I have been involved in studying the diets of baleen whales, although I have seen this project overlap into many areas where I could continue my research, such as the ecological relationships between whales and fish species, whales and human fisheries, or
more.
